The Cornelia Fire Department, located in the Northeast Georgia mountains, is committed to providing the highest level of professionalism and public safety services for their community. It is their vision to be an innovative and progressive fire department. As Fire Chief Billy Jenkins states, “My goal as Chief is to make the City of Cornelia a safe place to live, work, and play.”
With the $7300 they hope to raise through this campaign, the department plans to purchase new equipment to improve their water rescue capability and equipment to enhance training options for the department. After recent flooding, the department realized that they needed better equipment to perform rescues in flooded areas. The department would like to purchase water rescue equipment (like a water rescue raft) that would aid in assisting citizens in danger during flood-related disasters. In addition to the water rescue equipment they also would like to purchase TVs that can be installed in their new building to help facilitate additional training options for the department. Donate now to help better equip the Cornelia Fire Department.
