Founded in 1953, the Scotch Irish Fire Department in Woodleaf, North Carolina is a volunteer firehouse serving Woodleaf and Rowan County. With 25 volunteers, they provide fire suppression and emergency services. “Scotch Irish Fire Dept is built upon the three basic fundamentals of Faith, Family and Fire. By following these 3 elements in that order, we are better able to provide the best service possible to our citizens. The equipment we are raising funds for will better equip us to serve our community,” Michael Lanning, Deputy Fire Chief.
With the $7,600 they hope to raise through this fundraiser they plan to purchase a couple Portable Airway Suction Units and Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to replace current manual equipment. This new equipment will give them the ability to save more lives in their community. If an AED is on the scene within the first five minutes, it increases the chance of living by 90%. Donate now to purchase life-saving equipment for the Scotch Irish Fire Department.
