The Story

Pacolet Police Department needs to replace very old, obsolete and worn out equipment. The Department wants the new equipment so they can better serve their community of Spartanburg County, South Carolina. It will help them make their streets safer, combat illegal drivers, DUI’s, unsafe vehicles, and drug runners that travel through their jurisdiction on a regular basis. The new equipment will allow for information accessibility and sharing which will help them to make their neighborhoods safer.

With your help, the Department plans to raise $16,000 to purchase new in-car mobile computers, printers, ID readers, and other associated items needed to properly utilize this desperately needed equipment. This new equipment will allow officers immediate access to information that will help officers with safer decision making and provide instant criminal information. These improvements will give officers the ability to fill out reports at crime scenes and detention centers as well as allow easier access to warrants needing to be signed. Overall, the upgraded and new equipment will allow for a more efficient paperwork flow, less downtime and more protection for the town.

Chief John Alexander stated that with this campaign “Our ultimate goal is the safety of our community! With this fundraiser, God has opened another door for our Department, and offered another possibility to help us get this much needed new equipment. We are truly humbled by the support!”

Thank You! |

They were able to purchase two computers and printers. They are already mounted in two of their vehicles, have been operational and doing exactly what they have lacked the ability to do for a while. It has made a difference already by allowing officers the ability to work strictly from their cars and has cut down on their time off the street when they have to go to the jail. They can make and print reports while at the jail and not drive back and forth! Thank you so much! It has made a big improvement!
