The Football team at Jesse Carson High School is hoping to raise enough funds to replace their current jerseys that are over 12 years old and falling apart. The school is located in a lower income area of Rowan County, where a majority of the students are on free and reduced lunches. Due to their location, it creates a struggle to organize strong fundraisers for the school.
The football programs goal is to raise $9,500 to purchase new football jerseys for the team. The funds raised will ease the financial burden of pushing physical fundraising on the students and allow them the needed time to focus on the needs of their program. The funds raised will also ease the pressure on the football program and free up other funds that can be used to replace additional equipment that the school must provide for their students. Jason Rollins, an associate of the football team said, “Our players are focused on making a difference in their school by being positive role model in their community.” Donate today and help support the Jesse Carson High School football team.
