In the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, the Safe Families for Children chapter impacts the lives of families in crisis situations who are homeless, unemployed, hospitalized, affected by domestic violence, incarceration, substance abuse and trafficking. They are a nonprofit, volunteer run organization that provides hope and support to families.
“In 2019, shortly after losing my job, I found myself three months behind in rent and facing eviction. My two year old son, Joseph and I were going to be put out on the streets very soon. The stress was too much for me to handle, and at my lowest of lows I relapsed on drugs. I could no longer take care of my son on my own. I needed help, and I needed it fast. By the grace of God, Safe Families for Children reached out to me and was able to intervene when I had lost hope and confidence in my ability to be a good mother,” said a program participant.
With the $1,000 they hope to raise will go towards supplies needed when helping families who are coming out of these crisis situations. These supplies include items like diapers, wipes, food, clothing, and gas cards. Donate now to help families in crisis!
