For his Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Eagle Project, Colton Spayth plans to focus on Joe Delaney Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana. He wants to do something to benefit his community and honor the nearby military base and veterans.
Jimmy Holland, Fire Chief for the Town of Haughton, wrote, “…One of the final projects to be completed [in the Joe Delaney Memorial Park] is the installation of a flag pole and American flag. Colton has reached out to our town in an effort to help complete this project. We will work alongside Colton to make sure that this project is completed.”
With the $2,000 Colton hopes to raise he plans to install a flag pole and flag behind the Joe Delaney Memorial and put a flower bed around the memorial. For the flower bed, he plans to plant red and blue flowers and surround them with white rocks and a limestone edging.
