For his Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Eagle project, Caleb Laney has chosen to focus on Peachland Park in the Town of Peachland, North Carolina. He plans to have the park certified as a National Wildlife Habitat area along with adding beautifications and improvements to the park that will help both residents and area wildlife. As Caleb says, “Peachland, NC has been my hometown all of my life and this BSA Eagle Project will allow me the opportunity to make a meaningful, environmentally-friendly contribution to the town in which I live.”
The $2,000 he hopes to raise will go towards improvements to the park including mulch for the playground areas, signage for the park, landscaping with native pollinators, bird baths, bird houses and certification of the park as a National Wildlife Habitat area. Both the Town Council of Peachland and the Pee Dee District—Anson Eagle Board Committee have approved his project. Donate now to help improve park facilities and help wildlife!
