Since 1970, the Ranlo Fire Department has proudly served the Ranlo, North Carolina area. They protect the lives and property of the citizens in the community with timely, effective response to calls for service. They also enhance the safety of their community through collaborative public education and fire prevention program. “Being ready for whatever comes our way is vital. Creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for our firefighters is essential for our speedy response to all calls that come our way, “ stated CJ Harper, Ranlo Deputy Fire Chief.
The department is currently prepping for a move into a new facility. One of the needs in the new building is office furniture as well as furnishing for other parts of the building. With the $14,000 they hope to raise they plan to purchase office furniture such as desks, chairs, and cabinets as well as other furniture items like couches and chairs for the shared living spaces. This new building – the station’s first new fire department since it came into existence 50 years ago – is a much needed upgrade over their previous home.
