If you choose to create an account on the Site, you will be asked to select a username and password. Your username and password provide access to your profile areas and to protected content. You will also be asked to provide personal information including, without limitation, your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and zip code. This information tells us more about who you are, how to contact you, and your billing information. This personal information will not be shared with the general public without your consent.
By creating an account on the Site, you agree to receive emails from us regarding your transactional activity, which may include donation confirmation emails, receipts, or acknowledgment messages.
When you create an account, you will have the option to receive non-transactional email communication from us (such communication constituting “WoodmenLife Impact Updates”), as well as email communication from fundraising campaigns to which you have donated (such communication constituting “Campaign Updates”). You may choose to receive either WoodmenLife Impact Updates or Campaign Updates, or both.
Once you have chosen to receive WoodmenLife Impact Updates or Campaign Updates, you may “opt-out,” at any time, from receiving WoodmenLife Impact Updates and Campaign Updates through the procedure described below.
If you choose to fundraise on the Site, your fundraising campaign will be public once published on the Site. The published campaign will provide Users with information related to the campaign, which may include, but is not limited to, personal information, such as your name, family members’ names, ages, city, state, your motivation for fundraising, circumstances which resulted in your need to fundraise, and amount of funds needed to reach your fundraising goal.
If you choose to make a donation on the Site, personal information will be collected from you in order to process such donation and to email you a receipt.
We also collect information provided by a User when a User participates in other activities on the Site, such as requesting email newsletters or contacting us through one or more of our contact email addresses.
We engage third-party payment processing vendors, including, without limitation, PayPal (such vendors being the “Payment Processors”) to facilitate donation transactions through the Site. If you make a donation through the Site, the Payment Processors may request payment information, including, without limitation, payment card information and bank account information. We do not retain payment card information or bank account information that you provide to the Payment Processors through the Site, but we may retain information necessary to process refunds, including, without limitation, your billing address and transaction data.
INFORMATION WE AUTOMATICALLY COLLECT
When you visit the Site or use our services, our web server also automatically collects data about your server’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. An IP address is a number that is assigned to your device by your Internet service provider.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We collect personal information in order to evaluate fundraising campaign proposals, to provide information regarding published campaigns to Users and potential donors, and to facilitate donation transactions through the Site.
We also use your personal information to create aggregate reports; however, these reports do not contain any personally identifiable information. We believe these uses allow us to improve the Site and better tailor it to meet the needs of Users.
We may, from time to time, provide chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups as part of the Site’s services. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
We take reasonable measures to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information under our control. We employ security measures designed to safeguard online transactions and personal information.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
From time to time, we may engage third parties by to provide services related to the operation and maintenance of the Site, including, but not limited to, vendors that help us to facilitate transactions on the Site. When we so engage third parties, those third parties may have access to personal information, including your Payment Information, if necessary to perform the functions for which we have engaged them. These third parties will not be permitted to use your personal information or Payment Information for purposes outside of the scope of our engagement.
As we continue to develop our business, WoodmenLife, or substantially all of the assets of WoodmenLife, may be acquired. In such a transaction, customer information may be one of the transferred business assets.

After you have created an account, you may “opt-out” of receiving WoodmenLife Impact Updates and Campaign Updates by logging into your account and adjusting your communication preferences in your account profile. At the time of donation, you will also have the opportunity to “opt-out” of receiving Campaign Updates for the particular campaign to which you are donating.
